Located in Kobe's Kitano area, this shrine worships the deity of study, there is a similar shrine with the exact same name located in Kyoto as well. In 1880, when the ruler Taira-no-Kiyomori moved the capital of Japan from Kyoto to Kobe, the Kyoto Kitano-Tenmangu-jinja Shrineand was also moved to Kobe to serve as the guardian of the new capital as such shrine always guard the emperor's residence.

Nice little shrine located on the hilly side of Kitano area, the entrance to the shrine is located right besides the Weathering Cock House. There's abit of stone stairs leading up to the shrine's honden(main hall) after the stone tori gate. The view is really beautiful, facing the honden side, you get to see this the cluster of shindo architectures with the hill's greenery as backdrop, while facing away from the honden you get a good view of Kobe's city skyline. "Influencers" who travel Japan will prolly come this place take some nice shots and post it with some random Jap phrases. Japan has more than one thousand shrines that worship the Inari fox god and this is the HQ of all the Inari shrines.
