Last post for Kobe is the Meriken Park (メリケンパーク), a waterfront park in Kobe's port area. Built on an outcropping of reclaimed land, the park is covered in grassy lawn and open courtyards dotted with a collection of modern art installations and fountains. It is home to some of the city's more iconic contemporary architecture such as the red Kobe Port Tower and the Kobe Maritime Museum.
--------------------------
This is the center of Kobe, where the iconic Kobe tower and Meriken Museum is located. Aka what u see on ur Kobe postcard u can prolly see it here. After a long day exploring the city of Kobe and spending lots of cash on your Kobe beef dinner, consider coming here for a romantic walk and admire the beautiful night view of Kobe city. On one side is the view of Osaka bay with cooling sea breeze coming in, while the other side is the delightful city skyline. Also the park is not super packed, and its mostly locals here. The park is really clean with large areas of well maintained grass patches around. Its nice to just lay around and admire the night sky where u can see nothing because of light pollution from the city. Joke aside, this coastal city has an unique and amazing charm, consider visiting here if you ever travel to Kansai region, its only around an hour away from Kyoto/Osaka.
